Quail Family Trio Sculptural Story Art

Initially, I thought I would separate them and indeed, they do all stand alone, but ultimately decided they were a family. They are being adopted (sold) together – and while they may be worn, they are FABULOUS displayed together.
The father’s name is Big Yank and it says so on the button inside the heart front-and-center (think of it as a tattoo); he is surrounded by recycled vintage beads, hoop earring, cuff link, boiled wool ball beads, and a marble nestled under the petals of a leather flower pin (which also serves as the “movement” that is one of my art signatures.
Then there are the Yanksters I & II, youngsters, both surrounded by earth tone beads, boiled wool, marbles, etc.

The largest fellow is atop a 3” brass cuff and rises 3 ½”. One of the Yanksters is built on a 2” cuff and most the construction stays inside the boundaries thereof – the quail rises 2 ½”. The other Yankster is built on a 1 ¼” cuff with a platform being an old hair comb and with the extensions of the adornment it expands to 2 ¼” – the quail twin is 2 ½”.
All three pieces are finished with a micro glass paste “Caviar” to add beauty and strength - mixing tiny glass beads to make a caviar paste to hide any glue, unsightly findings. It is something that takes extra time, and materials, but is the difference between ordinary and SPECTACULAR! Kind of like the difference between a sparrow and a California quail.
