White Rose Wedding Couture Cuff
This spectacular piece was created for a bride who didn’t want a bouquet, but instead asked me to make a wrist corsage for her. Her colors were black, white and a touch of forest green.
The base is a plastic buckle; a wide leather belt with long streamers, and a Velcro closure to adjust to her the wrist; white Capodimonte Italian style porcelain rose and bud; tiny tear drops of glowing Austrian glass in a forest green were the accents like dew drops of rain on the roses; and, yes, it has a vintage marble incorporated in to the design. Also, some tiny crystal accents like the dragonfly.
I took extra care in its creation so that it could not easily snag the lace on her wedding gown. The four streamers are 10 to 14 inches in length.
The impact is as great as a bouquet, but freed her hands.
A sculptural testament to the event of a lifetime.
