Ancient Man & Earth Commissioned Cuff

This piece was a commission I did for an artist who creates amazing works of art jewelry of gold, silver, jewels… she wanted me to make something for HER!

That’s the ultimate complement, to me, because she likes what I do and entrusted me with components that had special meaning to her life… a damaged ceramic man’s head became the centerpiece; other items were a winding key to a stringed instrument, compass, elk horn, wrapped stones, a Victorian style butterfly pin whose wings move, art glass, coins, shell wedges…

I love making memory pieces to get “important” items out of junk drawers and out where they can be enjoyed again as a part of an art piece and even wearable!
