"Jewels of Legendary Splendor"
William Hobé was the son of a master goldsmith, and it's fair to say like father, like son. Becoming a master jeweler himself, William opened his own company "Hobé Cie" in New York. They started to produce costume jewelry of exquisite quality. They became known by retail businesses serving public fashion. And therefore, it didn't take long for them to be known in Hollywood theater and movie production.
In the 1950s – 1960s, advertising for Hobe could be found in many woman’s magazines. In addition, it was carried in better department stores in fashionable color combinations for the perfect accessory for classic, quality clothing.
This beaded set was probably produced in the late 1950s through the early 1970s as it complements the colors of fashion during that time period. That was also the era in which Hobe produced many designs primarily of beads.
