Phantasy Pheasant Hen ART COUTURE Cuff
These birds started life as salt and pepper shakers – these were made souvenirs by the addition of a foil sticker reading, DURANGO COLORADO (the sticker is still on the pheasant’s breast, just not visible now with all the flora I’ve added in the form of bead spires, etc. Both pieces have my signature old marbles, and a dangle; finished with glass caviar paste.
While these fowls are wearable together, one on each wrist, for a special event, but they will live happily together the rest of the time on display.

SHE: Is mounted on 2 ½” wide brass plate cuff – total width is 3 ½” because the tip of tail and other components go beyond the cuff edges. Her surrounding foliage consists of spires of inverted long, tapered teardrops (some glass, some plastic), spikes of varied beads, a several porcelain roses and leaves, a set of dyed shell clip earrings, a tiny glowing turtle, angel, and a rhinestone brooch. Floral painted button earrings help create flat, smooth cuff openings so they are less likely to snag or catch on fabric, etc.
If you want to keep the pair together forever, I will give you a special price.
I often explain that these are wearable: you can wear them to a garden party, but not gardening – you can wear them to a baseball game, but not to play baseball. You get the picture! And, of course, they always look lovely just on display at home. Wearing this art elevates fashion to style.
