These birds started life as salt and pepper shakers – these were made souvenirs by the addition of a foil sticker reading, DURANGO COLORADO (the sticker is still on the pheasant’s breast, just not visible now with all the flora I’ve added in the form of bead spires, etc. Both pieces have my signature old marbles, and a dangle; finished with glass caviar paste.
While these fowls are wearable for, say, a special occasion, one on each wrist; they will live happily together the rest of the time on display.

He is mounted on 3” wide brass plate cuff – total width is 4 ¾” as the tip of tail and beak extend past the cuff boundaries. He has vintage confetti & shell Lucite button earrings, a white ribbon-y pin, a cross, dyed nuts, a cross, and gobs of beaded spikes “grass” – each one of different combinations.
